VIDEO COMPOSER 0.2

A better way to score video.

Video Composer 0.2 is our biggest update to BachGround so far. Music generation is more consistent, the generation workflow is more reliable, and the new composer gives you much more control over how music fits your video.

Better music, built around your video

Video Composer now produces more consistent musical results across scenes and longer videos. Musical ideas carry more naturally through the timeline, with stronger continuity and better scene-to-scene consistency.

Smoother transitions, more coherent sections and more reliable endings help the soundtrack follow your video’s structure and pacing more naturally.

A generation workflow you can rely on

We rebuilt the workflow behind Video Composer so longer and more complex generations move through analysis, music generation, processing and final assembly much more reliably.

Each stage is tracked independently to preserve progress and recover more safely from temporary failures. That means fewer failed long-running generations, safer retries, clearer progress and more dependable final assembly.

Compose, edit and refine

Generation is no longer the end of the workflow. Work with your generated soundtrack directly alongside the video, adjust its placement and levels, and refine individual sections without regenerating everything. Audition your changes before export to hear how the music fits.

Regenerate only what needs changing

If one part of the soundtrack is not working, you no longer need to start over. Regional generation lets you create alternate takes for a selected section while keeping the rest of the soundtrack intact. Refine the parts that need attention and preserve the rest of your composition.

More control over the mix

Balance generated music and original source audio visually inside the composer. Independent level controls let you adjust music gain and source audio levels, with an immediate preview of your changes.

Generated music now starts at -10 dB, giving source audio more room by default. The level remains fully adjustable to suit your video.

Automatic ducking, with your level of control

Video Composer can automatically lower generated music when important source audio needs space. Ducking is on by default at 50% intensity. Visually adjust its intensity or turn it off entirely, with your settings reflected in both playback and export.

What you hear is what you export

Your soundtrack levels, ducking settings, selected takes and timeline edits carry through to the edited video export, so the mix you refine in the composer is the mix you take with you.

Video Composer 0.2 is live

Video Composer 0.2 is available now on BachGround. Upload a video, generate its soundtrack, and keep refining it until the music fits the way you want.
